The Niner AIR 9 RDO carbon frame has slimmed down to racing weight and is now lean, mean, and Niner green. RDO stands for Race Day Optimized, meaning that this frame was made as light as possible The new rig is a half-pound lighter than its predecessor, thanks to an optimized carbon layup process and reduced diameters of the down and top tube. Additionally, Niner's trademark CYA bottom bracket was swapped out for a smaller, all-carbon Press Fit 30 BB; even the headset races in the headtube are molded carbon. The rear brake mount is tucked inside the curving stays to distribute twisting forces evenly, permitting smaller caliper mounts and decreased wall thicknesses. This frame was made to come alive, with quick acceleration and telepathic handling. SM, MD, LG, XL. Headset is included. If the size you need is not in-stock, please feel free to order. If you want a drivetrain designed for any terrain and any ability, the Sram X0 3x10 carbon crankset delivers the widest gear range available. Trickle down technology from the XX group is visible all over this crankset, with carbon crank arms and X-Glide shifting that's been optimized for 22x33x44 gearing. Additionally, what most trail riders are looking for is the climbing ability of a real granny gear (22-36.)

The X0 3X10 carbon crankset requires a Sram GXP Team or GXP Ceramic bottom bracket, sold separately.

PressFit 30 features an integrated seal, pre-assembled into the cups, to further prolong bearing life. The key difference with PressFit 30 is how the bearings are fitted into the frame. Bearings are housed in nylon cups which will be pressed into the frames bottom bracket shell. This bottom bracket is designed for 30mm spindle cranksets. Frames will need a 46mm inner-diameter bottom bracket shell to accommodate this system. PressFit 30 for road will require a 68mm wide shell while PressFit 30 for MTB will require a 73mm wide shell.
