To honor the ten-year anniversary of the Ksyrium wheel, Mavic has released their first ever wheel-tire system. The technology used to develop the Ksyrium K10 allows Mavic to control the numerous physical interactions that exist between the wheel and the tire. The setup includes fast rolling, high performance, dual-compound tires with supple 290 tpi casing. The lightweight K10 wheelset features a carbon front hub, and weighs a scant 2100 grams, complete with tires, tubes and skewers. Mavic's ISM3D milling procedure lightens the rim by eliminating excess rim material, reducing inertia by 30%. Bladed, straight-pull Zicral aluminum spokes, with oversized alloy nipples, provide superior aerodynamics and strength (18 spoke radial-laced front, and 20 spoke rear with 2-cross non-drive and radial drive side lacing.) 700c clincher.
