The Mavic Cosmic Carbone 40 C wheelset provides the best combination of reliability and lightweight in an aero package. Mavic has developed TgMAX technology, which consists of two types of resins and uses a proprietary heat treatment process to construct the carbon braking surface. The aluminum spine of the rim core dissipates heat from braking, and is stiffer, reducing rim deflection. Testing shows this reduced the braking distance in wet conditions compared to other carbon rim brake clinchers. The 40mm wind tunnel optimized carbon rim provides superior aerodynamics and strength. 20 bladed spokes front and rear.
