Zipp has re-tooled their industry-leading 404 wheel and now offers it as a full carbon clincher. Zipp did much more than simply replace the aluminum braking surface with carbon. Their innovative Firecrest rim shape provides a wider rim section for increased lateral stiffness and greater vertical compliance, offering more control and less vibration on rough surfaces. With the Firecrest design and Zipp's ABLC™ dimples, the 404 Carbon clincher far exceeds the aero performance of any other clincher wheels in its class. The Zipp 88 front hub uses 10 Swiss steel bearings that roll more smoothly than many ceramic bearings, and the stiffest 17mm axle on the market. 718 g.
