Stan's Patented Bead Socket Technology™ (BST) allows the sidewall of the rim to be lowered by 2-3mm. The elimination of the bead hook and the reduction of the sidewall reduce the overall weight of the rim. The curve of the rim sidewall is the same shape as the bead of the tire so they fit together like a ball and socket joint. This design will help reduce the strain on the tire bead while creating a tighter seal.

By lowering the sidewall of the rim, Stan's also reduces the mechanical leverage the tire has on the rim. This makes the rim stiffer and longer lasting by eliminating flexing that can cause cracking.

Finally, with shorter sidewalls the tire should not hit the rim and pinch flat as often as on standard rims, either with or without tubes. This design allows you to run lower pressures and use more of the tire than ever before. The tire will give you better traction than any rim in the world.

Stan's No Tubes used years of experience in tubeless rim innovation to build the ultimate tubeless all mountain rim, ZTR Flow. Built to take a beating, the rim is 28mm wide and employs Stan's Bead Socket Technology, resulting in wider contact surface between your tire and the ground. The rim is fortified with Stan's FEA center arch for added stiffness (20% more than the ZTR 355.) The Stan's ZTR Flow is a great rim for all mountain, heavy duty trail use as well as slalom, mountain cross, or Super-D events.
