The Shimano XT 10-speed cassette provides a more efficient and usable range of gears. The gears are arranged so that when you shift the front chainrings, you only have to adjust one gear in the back to 'recover' your gear. The XT cassette sprockets offer Shimano's patented Hyperglide shifting ramps and alloy carriers for great shifting and less weight. Shimano also offers a wide range of cassette choices with 11-32 for XC racers, 11-36 for all-day climbing, and 11-34 for everything in between.
