In designing and building this frame, Merlin sought to maximize the ride quality of titanium. Shaping and cold working Merlin's MTS2 size-specific titanium tubes yields an increase of up to 45% in the materials strength, enhancing bottom bracket stiffness and optimizing Tom Kellogg's refined, race-tuned, semi-sloping geometry. Works CR has a torsionally rigid front end to ensure precise handling and stout, 1" chain stays to provide a stunningly efficient transfer of energy. Easton's remarkably light EC-90 SLX carbon fork is perfectly matched to Merlin's high performance frame. Featuring advanced High-Modulus carbon construction and a carbon steerer tube, EC-90 SLX delivers front-end stability, nimble handling and vibration-dampening comfort.
