The Santa Cruz Nickel is a perfect bike for those days when you have to flip a coin to decide where you want to ride. With a long top tube and snappy pedaling manners, it's a climb-happy, nimble bike with a sure-footed geometry that begs to go claim tall peaks in the backcountry. And with five inches (125mm) of sophisticated APP (Actual Pivot Point) rear suspension, the Nickel is designed to eat rocks, roots and jumps with all the ability of longer travel bikes. It also does a mighty fine job of whipping the descents into shape.

2011 Frame: Hydroformed 6000 series aluminum with 5 inches (125mm) of rear travel via Santa Cruz's proprietary APP suspension. APP uses a high and forward pivot point located on the down tube, in front of and above the bottom bracket. A pair of links is used to create a variable shock rate similar to that found on the VPP machines. Frame includes sealed cartridge linkage bearings, replaceable dropout, and cable stops for a dropper seat post. Shock: Fox RP23. Frame Weight( Med): 6.65 lbs.Sizes: SM-XL.
