The entire system is built to withstand exposure to the dust, shock and water that make mountain biking and cycling in general fun. Plus, it's push-button easy to use. The lens can be mounted to best capture the action, for example on a helmet or handlebar. The recorder can be mounted nearby or stowed in a hydration pack. The wireless remote control can be mounted anywhere within reach.

Wth the POV.1, V.I.O. has designed and built the most advanced, integrated POV system by combining lens, recorder, software and mounting accessories. From capturing video to cut-and-splice editing to online distribution, process is simple and seamless.

The POV.1 is the first V.I.O. product to use a new, advanced CMOS video sensor with a global electronic shutter. While the CMOS sensor offers the improved light handling capabilities of a higher, broader dynamic range, it also demands less power. As a result, the POV.1 can record hours of video on four AA batteries. Users can select from six resolutions ranging from 720x480 to 320x420 and frame rates of 30,25,24, or 15 frames per second. To help keep recording simple and at the highest possible quality, exposure control and white balance are automatically controlled.

Driving rain will not affect the POV.1. Nor will immersion in water of up to one-meter depth. The system is also dustproof and shock-resistant. It is designed to survive falling from a desktop to the floor. A key contributor to the shock resistance is the use of flash memory for recording. The POV.1 uses SD cards up to 2GB, allowing the recording of about 80 minutes of high quality video on a single card. Operational temperature range for the recorder is from freezing to over 150 degrees F. The camera head can withstand down to -40 degrees F and up to 185 degrees F. In either baking heat or freezing cold, users will appreciate the system's simple controls.

If you can push a button, you can master the POV.1. The video is hands-free. The cut-and-splice editing is intuitive. And distributing video involves a simple mouse-click to upload your video clip to the V.I.O. server for secure access. Other capabilities you'll want to take advantage of include real-time tagging to mark key moments for easy retrieval, and loop recording, which saves video being captured only if the tag button is pressed. Since tags can save material before the tag, you can actually record back in time.

Included Software:
V.I.O. comes with its own Windows-compatible software that allows you to upload video clips to a computer via the USB cable or removable SD card, cut and splice to create multiple clips from a single clip or join multiple clips into a single clip. Then you can upload clips to the V.I.O. server so friends can view and download online.
