The original Tallboy is the #1 selling bike in the Santa Cruz lineup and now Santa Cruz has tweaked the frame for 2014 with improved pedaling efficiency, fine-tuning the shock rate, increased stiffness and reduced weight. The Santa Cruz Tallboy2 geometry remains the same as the original and Santa Cruz has added a size small to the lineup. New features include an improved rear shock rate, direct mount front derailleur, a larger BB junction for improved stiffness, dropper seatpost internal routing and 100 grams lighter. Earmarked with the latest VPP suspension and a sophisticated carbon fiber chassis, the rock solid Santa Cruz Tallboy2 29" carbon frame is designed to be flex-free and fun handling. Using a unique, three-process construction, this curvaceous carbon fiber frame becomes more than just a pretty face, offering amazing stiffness and strength while keeping a feathery-light weight of 5 lbs. 3 oz. (Med). The Tallboy2 was designed to use a 100-120mm fork, and with 100mm of rear travel, this 29er delivers clean, neutral pedaling without bob or feedback, and plush, bump-eating suspension across the board. 5 year warranty. Shock pump is sold separately.
