Campagnolo Record 12 Groupset

Select Record-12 Crankset

Details

The new Campagnolo Record 12 Speed Crankset has a new hole-free design for the right hand crank that optimizes aerodynamics. The new carbon fiber Record 12 Speed crankset with unidirectional finishing guarantees continuity with the finishing's of the entire groupset, whilst maintaining the Ultra-Torque bottom bracket system on the steel axle to ensure perfect transmission of power. The Record 12 Speed crankset can be installed on any type of frame, whether or not it is being used with disc brakes because it optimizes the chain line on the frame with a rear hub flange measuring 130, 135 or 142 millimeters, without affecting the Q factor that remains constant at 145.5 millimeters. The innovative design of the outer chainring ensures faster, quieter derailing owing to the contoured pin. The symmetrical design of the inner chainring teeth allows improved stability with chain crossovers. The double wheel sizing standards (112 and 145 millimeters) enable reducing the weight through greater use of carbon fiber. There are eight fixing screws for increased structure stiffness. The varying number of pins for each of the three chainring combinations (34/50, 36/52, 39/53) facilitates upshifting due to the optimized free strokes associated with each combination. The special drains on the inside of the outer chainrings optimize performance when downshifting in dead spots.

Select Record-12 Ergopower Shifters

Details

The new mechanical Campagnolo Record Ergopower 12 Speed Controls are aesthetically pleasing and functional. The new carbon unidirectional levers lend the Record Rim Brake controls an air of power, stiffness and reliability. These new controls allow riders to select two different lever-handlebar positions spaced to adapt to the size of the hand, whilst keeping braking efficiency constant. This is accomplished through the new angle of the up-shifting lever that prevents any possible contact with the curve of the handlebar. The position of the lever is adjusted by acting directly on the controls in a simple and safe manner. The Vari-Cushion technology offers an ergonomic, comfortable and safe support and grip. The "one lever-one action" feature assigns each lever one function to prevent shifting errors. The Ultra-Shift mechanism enables upshifting up to three sprockets at a time and downshifting a full five. The new Record 12x2 Speed Rim Brake levers introduce a double curvature to improve grip and thus safety.

Select Record-12 Front Derailleur

Details

The mechanical Campagnolo Record 12 Speed Front Derailleur features speed, dexterity, precision and effectiveness. The Campy Tech Lab designers focused on functionality, performance and compatibility when redesigning the new front derailleur. The Record mechanical 12 Speed front derailleur reveals various technical innovations; starting with the leverage system, which is designed to speed up shifting. Less effort is required for shifting thanks to the split front link rod, which avoids contact with the travel limit screw, and the shape of the inner cage plate, designed to match the new 12 speed chain's characteristics. The micro-adjustments to the front derailleur position (which can be activated by the controls) make it possible to avoid any chain contact, even in cases of maximum crossing. The plate positioned on the aluminum outer cage prevents the chain from escaping when upshifting and increases speed in the downshift phase, as well as creating a quieter transmission. As far as compatibility is concerned, the new Record 12 Speed front derailleur allows tires up to 32mm thanks to the new upper connecting rod and the double fixing of the cable. Use the Campagnolo Front Derailleur Adaptor Clamp with the braze-on derailleur for seat tube clamp applications.

Select Record-12 Rear Derailleur

Details

The Campagnolo Record 12 Speed Rear Derailleur features precision, lightness and versatility. Designed to improve performance and function in every aspect, the new Record 12 Speed mechanical rear derailleur has an innovative shape that envelopes the sprockets better thanks to 3D Embrace technology, creating a double effect: allowing the chain to maintain optimum traction at all times, thus increasing the speed, power and precision of shifting; and ensuring that the derailleur is always kept an optimal distance away from the sprockets. The cage has also been optimized to work with sprockets from 11 to 32 teeth, allowing a single version to be maintained for all available sprocket sets. The upper part of the new Record 12 Speed mechanical rear derailleur gearbox is made of carbon fiber-reinforced techno polymer, contributing to its robustness and lightness, while the stop adjustment screws at the back of the rear derailleur make adjustments very simple.

Select Super Record 12 Cassette

Details

The new Campagnolo Super Record 12 Speed sprocket cassette features innovation which gives the user great advantages, thanks to the matching dimensions and completes compatibility with wheels and frames. The rider has always been Campagnolo's focus, and the goal has always been facilitating their performance; making the impossible possible. Adding an additional sprocket might seem simple, however Campagnolo has not only succeeded in maintaining the same footprint, but also improving the component's performance and durability, which was a tricky challenge. The new Super Record 12 Speed sprocket sets feature thinner sprockets, tighter spaces and space-saving dimensions that are the same as those of the 11 Speed sprockets, meeting everyone's needs with just two (11:29); (11:32) cassettes. The addition of the twelfth sprocket allows a linear upshift or downshift by a single tooth, up to the seventh gear, allowing the cyclist to find the perfect ratio for any situation. In addition, the closer sprockets ensure faster, quieter and more precise shifting thanks to the special tooth design and surface treatment which guarantees a longer life span. The 6 larger sprockets are also available in two single-piece steel triplets, to avoid energy loss. Mounting the cassettes is easy thanks to matching-thickness spacers.

Select Super Record 12 Chain

Details

The new Campagnolo Super Record 12 Speed chain is slim, robust, smooth and precise. The chain, in all its apparent simplicity, plays a critical role in the cyclist's safety and in optimizing the entire transmission mechanism. The new Super Record 12 Speed chain also had to be redesigned from scratch to work with the new 12-speed transmission components. Therefore, the first and most important objective was reducing its overall dimensions. Its width is now 5.15mm, thanks to the new pins which are perfectly aligned with the links' outer surfaces. The second objective was safeguarding its performance. This was achieved thanks to the Ultra-link system that makes the chain safe and durable, and a special treatment that guarantees extreme smoothness and precision shifting.

Weight: 220 grams (110 links)

Description

With the 12-speed Record™ groupset and Campagnolo® quality, satisfaction and victory are close at hand.

Campagnolo never ceases to evolve and the range of drivetrains has taken on a new sophisticated element: The new 12-speed Record™ mechanical groupset is the iconic brand that has personified the world's greatest successes in cycling, in both professional and amateur races. The victories race bikes have achieved over the years with this groupset demonstrates the highest level of quality present in the processing, technology and premium materials that have always made it stand above the rest as a unique trademark product.

With the twelfth sprocket, a new era begins. Enthusiasts will be able to gain unprecedented levels of versatility on their bikes along with the quality and reliability that Campagnolo is known for. The new Record™ 12x2 groupset project was started from a clean slate and all of the components were redesigned. Performance was improved but the dimensions remained the same so that it is compatible with the frames and wheels currently on the market. The 12v chain is thinner than the previous version yet its lifespan is greater or at least the same as the 11v model. The crankset was completely redesigned with the objective of being effective even with the most severe angles of chain crossing. Likewise, the single version of the rear derailleur has a jockey cage that can support sprockets with up to 32 teeth and the front derailleur has been lightened to reduce the size, whilst maintaining its effectiveness on different frames and types of bicycles.
