The NOX A36D Disc Carbon Road Rim is a disc-specific asymmetric rim designed to fill a wide spectrum of riding from gravel grinding and touring to cyclocross and road racing. By working with experienced aerodynamicists and applying what NOX learned from asymmetric rim design during the past few years producing mountain rims, NOX were able to create a rim profile that cuts through the wind when mounted with a wide variety of tires (23-45+mm) and still features NOX trademark 2.6mm of offset which is critical to equalizing spokes tension and building up exceptionally stiff and reliable wheels. This is especially important with 11-speed rear hubs and dished front hubs found on bikes with disc brakes. The A36D is unique in the world of road/cx disc rims in that it's offset and spoke exit angles have been optimized to allow the same asymmetric rim to be used on the front or rear by lacing it oppositely for each application. The A36D is tubeless or tube compatible and has been tested extensively with a wide range of tires, from 23mm tubeless road racing tires at high pressures up to 45mm+ gravel exploring tires. Rim features 28mm external width, 20.5mm internal and 36mm depth.The A36D does not have a brake track so it is meant for disc brake applications only! Lifetime warranty and crash replacement policy.
