Description

Build a custom 2018 Santa Cruz Bronson with Shimano components. All custom wheels are built 32 hole with a 3-cross lacing pattern, and j bend spokes. For different wheel options or questions on pricing, sizing & builds, please email support@coloradocyclist.com. Please note, the bike or other parts of your build may need to be ordered. Because of the possibility of backordered items + shop time, it will take approximately 1-3 weeks to turnaround your bike.

The second iteration of the Santa Cruz Bronson Carbon is nothing but outstanding, and still the reference for all-mountain riding and racing, and one of Santa Cruz Bikes most versatile and popular models ever. The most visible upgrade is the completely new VPP link arrangement, with the lower link tucked neatly above the bottom bracket, fully-recessed and protected from impacts. The box-section upper link now mounts cleanly to the top tube and enhances lateral stiffness, while the shock rate has been refined to deliver greater small bump sensitivity and a more progressive mid-stroke. The seat tube angle has been steepened, placing the rider right above the cranks and perfectly in position to lay down the power, and a slacker 66 degree head tube angle combines with a 20-25mm longer top tube and shorter chainstay length to create a rally-ready geometry. The Bronson uses a one-piece, continuous carbon fiber lay-up, which allows interlocking fibers to wrap between tubes and removes any excess material from the frame, producing lightweight performance. Santa Cruz put a lot of emphasis on the performance and ride characteristics of their VPP suspension design, with adjustability of shock rates for individual designs, superb pedaling and bump smoothing characteristics. The new frame has all the trimmings demanded today: new Boost 148mm rear axle spacing, molded rubber swingarm and downtube protectors, ISCG-05 carbon tabs, dropper seatpost internal cable routing and a 73mm threaded BB for creak-free riding.
