The Santa Cruz Hightower is a new trail frame that replaces the popular Tallboy LT and makes use of Boost 148 spacing, allowing riders to choose between 29 and 27.5+ wheel platforms. The Hightower is Santa Cruz's most versatile bike, seamlessly adapting to the trails you ride, running 29-inch wheels or the new 27.5-inch plus tire size. No matter what size you run, geometry remains optimized with a "High/Low" flip chip setting on the upper link that flips to adjust bottom bracket height. 135mm of VPP suspension travel is reinforced with 148x12 rear axle spacing, plus Nomad-style linkage arrangement and swingarm design. Santa Cruz put a lot of emphasis on the suspension performance and ride characteristics of their VPP suspension design with tune ability of shock rates for individual designs, superb pedaling and bump absorption characteristics. The Hightower frame comes with all of the geeked out details that you need to customize your rig, including ISCG05 chain guide mount and internal cable routing for a dropper post. This CC-level carbon frame is every bit as stiff and strong as the C-level frame, but weighs about 230 grams less, due to the use of some lighter, stronger, and more expensive carbon fiber. Using this material in key places allowed Santa Cruz to use less material overall, which is what shaves off half a pound from the frame. Lifetime warranty.
