Shimano XTR Rapidfire Plus SL-M9000-R Clamp 1x11 Speed Right Shifter
With the 1x11 revolution being well underway for all road drivetrains as well as some of SRAM's mountain getups, it only seemed a matter of time before Shimano would throw it's hat into the 11 speed ring. Now that they have though, it's off to the races with this fully decked out XTR drivetrain. Showing all the traits that XTR has come to stand for, fully optimized towards 11.
All of the refinements and new tech that Shimano crammed into the amazing new 9000-series XTR drivetrain is nothing without being able to accurately control it, and for that, you'll want the Shimano SL-M9000 XTR Trigger Shifter. As with most of the other new parts, there is a great deal of aesthetic similarity between M9000 and the previous-generation XTR parts, but it's (mostly) down within that the improvements are found. The shifters operate on an improved VIVID index mechanism, reducing shifting effort by 20% while also providing more pronounced tactile index when shifting. In other words, easier and more pronounced shifting is the result. The thumb lever is now made of carbon fiber, while the trigger, or "release" lever, is now covered with a dual-textured coating for better finger traction. Ball-bearings guide the shifter as it pulls new polymer-coated ultra-low-friction cables, and the levers' ergonomic improvements make the shifter more comfortable than it already was. The Shimano SL-M9000 Trigger Shifters come in one color only. The left shifter can be configured to work with either two or three front chainrings. They are designed exclusively for use with Shimano's new XTR M9000 11-speed mechanical groupset and associated parts. They are sold separately so please order one of each if you'd like a matching set.
