Now is the time to service your Rockshox Pike!

Does your thousand dollar suspension fork feel like it’s supposed to? Is the action smooth or is it starting to feel a bit notchy? Is your lock-out not functioning properly? If you haven’t had your fork serviced in a while, it’s time to come to The Colorado Cyclist!

Here is the recommended service schedule for a Pike:

Maintenance Interval (hours)

  • Clean dirt and debris from upper tubes (Every ride)
  • Inspect upper tubes for scratches (Every ride)
  • Check front suspension fasteners for proper torque (25 rides)
  • Remove lowers, clean/inspect bushings and change fluid (50 rides)
  • Clean and lubricate spring assembly (100 rides)
  • Change fluid in damping system (100 rides)

We are offering a service special for the Pike fork.

For a full overhaul (normally $125 plus parts), our special price is $110 plus parts. Rockshox has made some improvement to the Charger damper seal head which should mean smoother, longer lasting fork operation in the future.

If you don’t need a complete overhaul, it still may be time to remove the lowers and clean/inspect the bushings and change the fluid as well as installing new seals. Our price is $40 labor plus parts. This is a highly recommended option for keeping that fork working smoothly. This price also applies to the Fox forks.

Winter is the best time of year to have your bike serviced. Our turnaround time is fast! Give us a call at 1-800-688-8600 for more information.
