The Trace shoe employs Sidi's new RS17 sole, made of nylon with PU (polyurethane) inserts, providing more rigidity than a standard nylon sole. The shape of the sole tread has been specifically designed for mountain biking, it allows a good grip, facilitates mud dispersion and provides the right stability. RS17 sole represents the ultimate result in terms of stiffness for pedaling and flexion for walking. The n ew Politex upper is constructed of several overlapping layers with different physical-mechanical properties. Politex offers strong resistance to ripping, laceration, stretching and fading. The Tecno 3 Buckle System allows easy on-bike fit adjustment, while the Soft Instep 3 Closure System and padded tongue eliminate pressure points. The reinforced heel cup prevents power robbing heel lift and the ventilated synthetic upper delivers cool comfort. The MEGA fit also gives those who have a slightly wider foot to comfortably wear Sidi cycling shoes. 4mm wider across the ball of the foot with more volume, a high instep and a wider heel cup.
