The Shimano Ultegra ST-6800 STI Shifters received the most significant advancements in the Ultegra group, with the ergonomics and shifting performance showing big improvements. The lever blades have a reach adjustment of up to 10mm and feature a shape that greatly improves grip, when riding on the brake hoods. With smaller, sleeker hoods, the 11-speed compatible ST-6800 STI units deliver improved ergonomics for better rider comfort and control, with reduced lever stroke and lighter action. It now takes even less effort to shift, with the lever throw, or distance that the lever needs to move in order to shift now reduced by 30%. 425 g.
With a revised actuation ratio in combination with the ST-6800 shifter and polymer-coated cables, the Shimano Ultegra FD-6800 front derailleur delivers both a shorter stroke at the lever and reduced effort. A redesigned pull arm offers more direct and easy shifting, with equal shifting effort across the range, and stability has been improved with a new support bolt.
The Shimano 11-speed Ultegra 6800 rear derailleur has been redesigned for lighter operation with the help of new low-friction polymer-coated cables. Shifting effort is now more even across the range, with similar force required at both ends of the cassette.
Shimano's Ultegra CS-6800 11-speed cassette uses Hyperglide sprockets with revised tooth profiles for reduced wear and lightning quick shifts. A rigid aluminum carrier keeps the cogs in check for improved shifting under the most demanding gear changes. The available ratio combinations work extremely well with standard, compact or triple cranksets.
The Shimano CN-6800 11-speed chain gets Shimano's symmetrical design for super-smooth shifting and improved durability. The redesigned inner and outer links are optimized to efficiently shift under hard loads and virtually eliminate "chain suck." Features Shimano's PTFE coating for increased durability and corrosion protection. Pins included. 253 g.
